Edie keen on Agriculture Degree

Edie in Y12 applied for a position on the Agri-ventures programme because she is interested in doing an agriculture degree at Lincoln University. She was one of 17 people chosen from 55 applicants, and interestingly only females were selected for the two-day course run by Lincoln University’s Future Leader Scholarship students. Over the two days participants toured different farming and food manufacturing businesses around Christchurch. All the businesses visited were delighted by the number of females interested in a career in the industry. Edie said she enjoyed seeing the variety of different enterprises and it confirmed that a degree in agriculture will open up many career options for her. |
