We kicked off Term 2 with a warm and welcoming mihi whakatau — a special way to reconnect as a school and set the tone for the term ahead. Immediately following the mihi, students gathered for a high-energy pep rally to launch Spirit Week, a much-loved Marsden tradition that brings our community together. 

A highlight of the rally was the premiere of a Spirit Week video, created by our student leaders and featuring some familiar faces — along with a few surprise guest appearances! 

Led with enthusiasm and heart by our incredible Year 13 leaders, the week was filled with moments of fun, connection and celebration. Highlights included a visit from Mr Whippy, a friendly Year 12 vs Year 13 multisport match, and a green-themed non-uniform day. Even Wellington's wild weather couldn't dampen our Marsden spirit! 

Spirit Week is a wonderful reminder of the strength of student leadership and the joy of shared experiences. A huge thank you to our Year 13s for leading with purpose and passion.
