Marsden Students Represent at ANZAC Day Services
Friday, 25 April 2025

Marsden was proudly represented at two ANZAC Day services today, with students from both the Middle School and Senior School attending alongside their respective Heads of School.

Head of Middle School, Dianne Smith, was joined by Year 10 students Emily and Helena at Wellington's Citizens' Wreath Laying Service at the Cenotaph. It was a beautiful morning to pause and remember all those affected by war. A prayer shared during the service, written by the late Pope Francis, offered a poignant reminder of the enduring importance of tolerance and peace.

Meanwhile, Deputy Principal and Head of Senior School, Jenny Caldwell, attended the ANZAC Day National Commemoration Service at Pukeahu National War Memorial Park with Head Girl Tiantian and Deputy Head Girl Arabella. The service was an incredibly moving tribute to those who have served and sacrificed.

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Lest we forget.
