We are delighted to introduce Lynette Kitney, who joined Marsden Primary at the beginning of 2025. Lynette brings with her more than 25 years of experience teaching across New Zealand and internationally, including time in Hong Kong where she delivered the International Baccalaureate curriculum. 

Lynette is passionate about supporting the whole child—academically, socially and emotionally. She has a strong interest in literacy and has completed a Certificate in Teaching ESL Students in Mainstream Classrooms. She is currently working towards her Intervention Teaching Certification, accredited by the International Dyslexia Association. 

She thrives on the variety that primary teaching offers—from academic learning to EOTC opportunities, and the chance to nurture essential soft skills like resilience, growth mindset and oha.
