Our Year 8 students had an incredible time at camp this year, embracing every challenge with enthusiasm and manahau (resilience). The week was packed with exciting activities designed to test their teamwork, courage, and problem-solving skills. Tuesday and Thursday were action-filled days with kayaking, rock climbing, abseiling, laser tag, drift bikes, blindfolded walks, high ropes, archery, and air rifle shooting. Despite the heavy rain on Tuesday, spirits remained high as students supported each other and made the most of every opportunity. Wednesday brought a special highlight - a day trip to Abel Tasman National Park. With the sun shining once again, we took a boat to Anchorage, where students enjoyed a scenic tramp before stopping for lunch at a beautiful beach with golden sand. It was a perfect moment to pause, take in the beauty of nature, and appreciate the friendships formed throughout camp. Afternoons were filled with watersports, including time in the pool, racing down the water slide, leaping from the jumping platform, and tackling the awesome aqua park. By Friday evening, we returned a tired but happy group of students to their families, knowing they had gained not only new skills and confidence but also lifelong memories. Well done to everyone for giving it their all! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
