Victoria has worked as a businesswoman, a leader in management and in the film, television and theatre industries. Victoria is the co-owner and Chief Executive Officer of the screen and visitor experience company, the Gibson Group, is a Director of Screenrights Australia, on the Board of Education New Zealand, and until recently the Screen Production and Development Association and BATS Theatre. In 2015 she received the Arts and Culture award in Westpac’s Women of Influence Awards, and in 2012 won the CLANZ-Lexis Nexis Private Sector in house Lawyer of the Year award. Having completed a double degree in Arts and Law at Victoria University and a post graduate diploma in languages, Victoria, using both her creative and analytical skills, moved from employment and litigation law to legal and business affairs manager for South Pacific Pictures. Here her creative skills were honed and she moved to the Gibson Group. Victoria has shared her success in business with many through public speaking, TED talks and “Leaders who listen” bites on the internet. With a belief that women can be successful in business Victoria has joined with other business women to mentor women in overcoming professional challenges such as equal opportunities and equal pay in the current workplace. She believes communication and how you use it in different situations is important for success. |
