You're invited to join us for a special evening celebrating the incredible talent, dedication, and creativity of our students at the Marsden Performing Arts Awards. This event honours excellence across all areas of the performing arts - including music, dance, drama, kapa haka, speech and drama, technical production, debating and musical theatre - both in and out of school. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, every student's contribution is valued and recognised. We look forward to welcoming students, families, and friends as we come together to celebrate the vibrant artistic spirit that thrives in our school community.

A light supper will be served at the conclusion of the event. Please RSVP By Tuesday 7 October for catering purposes.
NB: Students involved in Altissime and kapa haka will be performing on the night and also need to RSVP.
Guest Speaker
We are delighted to welcome award-winning director, producer and choreographer Alexandra McKellar as our guest speaker.

Alex McKellar (Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri, Te Atiawa, Ngāi Tahu) has directed numerous productions including The Addams Family, 42nd Street, Heathers, Hair, 13, Bring it On, The Witches of Eastwick, and the sold out season of Wicked at Auckland's SkyCity.
Since moving to Wellington, Alex has performed with CTT and G&T Productions in Les Miserables at the St James Theatre, and conceived and directed Hollywood to Broadway and Coven cabarets. She produced and directed the critically acclaimed premiere season of the Grace McLean musical In the Green at Bats Theatre in April whilst also directing and choreographing Freaky Friday here at Marsden. She has a new show opening at Bats in October.
By day Alex works for Taki Rua Productions, bringing high quality productions that amplify Māori voices to audiences around the country.
